The first mask designed in the MediaLab. It is
hygienic, reusable up to 5 TIMES after washing (with the guarantee that it maintains its filtering properties), and designed to be manufactured by volunteers with sewing skills. We use fabrics that meet
UNE 0065 specifications. These are masks that PROTECT OTHERS and also the wearer, always keeping a safe distance and washing hands frequently
(more information).
MediaLab will prepare kits that will include everything necessary to manufacture them and their manufacture will be carried out by a team of volunteers under the supervision of MediaLab. They will receive advice from MediaLab on how to make the mask.
_ These masks are NOT to be commercialized, but to be donated to entities that request them.
_ The development of the project is located in Gijón but can be transferred to other cities or regions.
