The Asturiosity is a 1/4 scale model of the rover "Curiosity" sent to Mars created by MediaLab_ residents of the engineering branch. It was created as an alternative for sending light parcels between the departments of the Polytechnic School of Engineering.
A project called "Mars Perseverance Rover Replica" was chosen as a model that explains the process of creating the Perseverance. It began as a Mechanical Engineering Final Degree Project, in which the structure was built, followed by an Electronics Final Degree Project, which generated the Rover's movement, and finally, at present, robotic arms are being implemented that will help the Asturiosity to pick up materials.
The rover is currently being used in the workshops we give in schools as part of the project of one of our residents.
