A selective velutine wasp trap, for all types of bottles and designed to be 3D printed.

Trampa velutina
A project commissioned by the Ministry of Rural Environment and Territorial Cohesion of the Principality of Asturias in collaboration with the Center for Alert and Control of Invasive Species of La Mata (Grado), the team of biologists from the University of Oviedo and Yetta, a design studio specializing in 3D printing. The Ministry has a website where you can find all the information about the species and where you can register the trap you print.
  • Ramón Rubio
  • The grip to the bottle is inspired by octopus legs and the selectivity is in the diameters of the trap holes.
  • Have you already tested the trap? Would you give us some feedback? (just two questions to improve the design)
